Qigong forms are integrated within our classes. Some of the key lessons in Qigong include integrated breathing, movement and meditation. Strength From Within teaches a variety of Qigong forms, and offers weekend workshops regularly. We currently teach the following Qigong forms:
Eight Section Brocade Qigong
- Also known as Eight Pieces of Brocade, this is one of the oldest and most popular Medical Qigong form. It was created in the 12th Century as part of a wellness program. There are many different styles of the Eight Section Brocade Qigong. With only eight movements to learn, this Qigong exercise can be integrated into any fitness program.
Six Healing Sounds- This form is a combination of simple, specialized movements and specific sounds. The Six Healing Sounds focuses on 6 major organs and their corresponding meridians, as well as integrating Five Element Theory. This is a wonderful Medical Qigong set.
Wild Goose Qigong - This unique Qigong form consists of 128 movements, similar to a Tai Chi form. It is one of the most sought after Qigong forms. The form was inspired by the movements of the wild goose. As a movement-oriented form, Wild Goose Qigong stimulated various meridians to promote good Qi movement. As with all our Qigong forms, movement, breathing, and meditation are stressed. This form requires much dedication and time to learn, but the benefits are incredible.
